Publicada originalmente em 2003, a lista dos 500 Melhores Álbuns de Todos os Tempos da Rolling Stone foi, ao longo dos anos, o artigo mais discutido na história da famosa revista.

Este ano, eles decidiram reformular a lista para dar espaço a álbuns que surgiram desde então. Juntamente com a crítica, artistas como Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, U2 e Stevie Nicks também puderam votar.

A revista afirma: “86 dos discos da lista são deste século, e 154 são novos – não estavam nem na versão de 2003. Os clássicos ainda são clássicos, mas o canon fica maior e melhor”.
