VMA 2021 trará apresentações de Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, Lorde e mais

Nesta quarta-feira (18), foi confirmado algumas apresentações do VMA, nomes como Lil Nas X, Lorde, Olivia Rodrigo, Machine Gun Kelly e Camila Cabello, farão uma performance ao vivo na noite do evento que acontecerá dia 12 de setembro. As informações são da Variety.

Os planos ainda não foram anunciados. No ano passado, o programa do VMA passou para um formato pré-gravado de estúdio, devido a condições de pandemia. A transmissão deste ano está – até agora – definida para acontecer e ser transmitida da arena no Brooklyn.

A safra inicial de artistas é pesada, especialmente no caso de Olivia Rodrigo, que liderou as paradas de álbuns e singles durante grande parte deste ano com “Sour”. Além disso, Lil Nas X, que vem fazendo um sucesso estrondoso com os hits “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” e “Industry Baby”.

Embora seja difícil lembrar a esta altura que Rodrigo não é um veterano da cena musical, sua apresentação no VMA será a primeira no show. A cantora era uma desconhecida fora dos fãs de “High School Musical” no ano passado, e ainda fez relativamente poucas apresentações, na televisão ou em qualquer outro lugar, como artista solo. Ela vai apresentar “Good 4 U” no VMA.

VMA 2021: Anitta estrela campanha internacional para o evento

Após levar seus fãs à loucura ao anunciar que terá uma estátua de cera no Museu Madame Tussauds, Anitta agora estrela nova campanha junto do MTV VMA 2021, o Video Music Awards.

Intitulada “Ask Anitta”, a carioca responderá perguntas de alguns fãs que tweetarem bastante no tweet da oficial da premiação. Além disso, alguns sites norte-americanos acreditam que Anitta apresentará uma categoria na noite do evento, que acontece em setembro.

VMAs: Justin Bieber, BTS e Olivia Rodrigo são destaques em indicações

Justin Bieber é o principal indicado para o 2021 MTV VMAs, marcando sete indicações, incluindo Artista do Ano. O cantor canadense é seguido por Megan Thee Stallion com seis indicações, e Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake e Giveon, cada uma recebendo cinco indicações.

Outros artistas que receberam indicações incluem Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, Bruno Mars, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles e Beyoncé.

Os indicados para Vídeo do Ano são Cardi B e “WAP” de Megan Thee Stallion, “ Save Your Tears ” de The Weeknd, Doja Cat e “Kiss Me More” de SZA, “Bad Habits, de Ed Sheeran, “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” de Lil Nas X, e “POPSTAR” de DJ Khaled e Drake, estrelado por Justin Bieber.

O VMA 2021 irá ao ar ao vivo do Barclays Center em Brooklyn, NY em 12 de setembro, em todas as plataformas digitais da MTV, bem como CMT, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, TV Land, MTV2, Pop, TV Land, VH1, Logo e The CW.

Os fãs podem começar a votar hoje em 14 categorias, que são neutras em termos de gênero pelo site: vma.mtv.com.
